Welcome to Sedgeberrow CE First School
Sedgeberrow CE First School is a one form entry first school with 180 children on roll. We are a village school, situated south of Evesham in Worcestershire. The class are organised as single year group classes from Reception Class to Year 5. The vast majority of children leave Sedgeberrow CE First School at the end of Year 5 and move on to Bredon Hill Academy, Middle School (Years 6 - 8) and Prince Henry's High School (Years 9 -12).
Ofsted grade our school as Outstanding and the Church Inspection, SIAMS, have graded our school as Excellent, both the highest grades that can be achieved. We are always proud of our children's attainment at Sedgeberrow C of E First School and the data can be seen in the data dashboard document below.
The school’s vision is that every child achieves happiness, emotional and physical wellbeing and a developing an understanding of their own spirituality. Children will flourish with kindness as individuals and achieve their best. All children will grow a love of learning, a love for others, our world and a love for themselves and to live ‘Life in all its fullness’.
The resonant ethos of loving kindness is quite palpable in the school: in the words of one pupil, ‘Our school stands for kindness’." Bridget Knight (2019) SIAMs Inspector
We aim to enable all children to thrive. Our goal is to provide every child the opportunity to shine. We proved clubs that range from and include Yoga, Art, Chess, Ukulele to Rugby, Football and Cricket. The range is chosen to enable every child to shine. Our goal is that every child will represent the school in their time at Sedgeberrow.
We provide children with the opportunity to grow leadership skills through pupil parliament, sports and school events. We promote opportunities for the children to develop public speaking and confidence in front of audiences.
Above all, we put the children's happiness as our highest priority and their enjoyment of learning.
