House Captains

House Captains at Sedgeberrow

At Sedgeberrow Church of England First School, our House Captains play a vital role in promoting teamwork, healthy competition, and personal growth across the school.

Each House Captain is chosen for their ability to lead, inspire, and represent their peers with integrity and enthusiasm. Their role supports our commitment to:

  • Leadership Development: House Captains guide their house teams during events, encourage participation, and model positive behaviour.
  • Healthy Competition: They help organise and lead inter-house competitions in sports, academics, and creative challenges, fostering excitement and school spirit.
  • Resilience and Growth: Through both victories and setbacks, House Captains learn and teach the value of perseverance, fair play, and bouncing back stronger.
  • Celebrating Attainment: They support the recognition of achievements—academic, personal, and collective—helping their houses strive for excellence.
  • Amplifying Pupil Voice: House Captains represent their house in school forums, sharing ideas and feedback to help shape school life.
  • Fostering Pride and Belonging: They help build a sense of identity and pride within each house, encouraging every child to feel valued and included.

Our House Captains are selected not only for their achievements but for their character, teamwork, and ability to uplift others. They are role models who help make Sedgeberrow a vibrant and united school community.
