Head Boy & Head Girl
Head Boy and Head Girl at Sedgeberrow
At Sedgeberrow Church of England First School, we believe in nurturing leadership from an early age. Each year, we appoint a Head Boy and Head Girl to represent our school community and embody the values we hold dear.
These roles are not just honorary titles—they are opportunities for children to:
- Develop Leadership Skills: Our Head Boy and Head Girl lead by example, supporting younger pupils and helping to organise school events.
- Build Confidence: Through public speaking, leading assemblies, and representing the school at events, they grow in self-assurance and presence.
- Amplify Pupil Voice: They act as ambassadors for their peers, sharing ideas and feedback with staff and helping shape the school experience for everyone.
- Take on Responsibility: From helping with daily routines to supporting school initiatives like Eco Schools and Pupil Parliament, they learn the importance of commitment and reliability.
- Showcase Pride in Our School: Their role reflects the values of Sedgeberrow—respect, kindness, and a love of learning. They inspire others to take pride in their school and education.
We choose our Head Boy and Head Girl based on their character, contributions to school life, and their ability to positively influence others. It’s a celebration of who they are and who they are becoming.
